After three years in Okinawa, Dad and Jean returned to the United States in the summer of 1958 with their three children, moving into a small home on Norman Avenue. Two years later, the family moved a half mile down the street into a brand new home. But they didn't live there very long, for in the fall of 1960, the family left Fairfax to take up Dad's third overseas assignment: the Republic of Cyprus.
