Janice, You don't have to believe in fate to be amazed by the circumstances that led us to one another. It's a cliché to say I'm lucky I found you, but I am truly fortunate that a random series of events brought you halfway around the world and into my life. There will be many challenges in our marriage, but by nurturing and sustaining a long-distance relationship for 3 years, we've already passed the first test. With you at my side, I face an unpredictable future without fear. As your husband, I promise to share your joy, soothe your sorrow, protect you from harm, and cherish you always. All I ask for in return is that you continue to be the generous, gentle, and kind person that I know and love. I couldn't ask for more. I'm looking forward to sharing the rest of our lives together, and since I have a 10-year head start, I promise to never act my age.
